This was my final university project and here i wanted to create a classic moody piece of horror. I drew inspiration from films such as Sweeny Todd, the evil dead and films by David Lynch. I composited all the elements from 3Ds Max to after effects and colour corrected the footage. I soften the shadows to give a soft moonlight effect, I also add a glow to the specular to give the moody effect of night time. I animated the bird wings in 3Ds max, then I drew over them in Photoshop and After effects to give the ink splattered effect. I also recorded all the sounds myself and edited the whole soundtrack together using logic pro.
